There are a lot of terms to name the process of checking one's hearing.  At ClearWorks, we call it a communication evaluation, because hearing is not usually the problem. Clarity, speech understanding and communication are the areas that give our patients trouble.

We developed a communication evaluation to focus on the challenges that hearing loss creates.  Our communication evaluation always includes speech understanding in quiet and in noise, sound comfort, loudness tolerance, and a look into how your brain processes sound.
