Hearing loss due to noise exposure is preventable! If you are around noise that is loud enough that you need to shout to be heard, you likely need hearing protection around that noise.  These noises include, but are not limited to, concerts, gunfire, power tools, machinery, and yard care tools. Noise exposure can be occupational (at work) or recreational (outside of work). Your hearing should be protected despite the reason for the exposure.
